Our Accommodations

Whether planning a vacation or find yourself on a spontaneous visit to New Hampshire's Lakes Region or White Mountains, no other facility on this side of the lake offers the features and amenities that we do here at The Windrifter Resort. With 42 guest rooms, we are large enough to offer amenities not available elsewhere, yet small enough to provide personal service and a family-friendly setting.

"Whether it is a week-long Summer vacation with the family or a Winter ski weekend with old friends, the Windrifter Resort offers a wide variety of room choices and settings."

The Windrifter is comprised of 42 guestrooms in five unique buildings between two private, yet distinct, locations. The rooms we offer are studios, one bedroom suites and even a two bedroom suite.

All of our guest rooms include a fully-equipped kitchen area so you can choose to stay in and create a home-cooked meal (though, going out to enjoy one of our area's fine restaurants is an option, too). Each room, also includes free wireless internet, DirectTV and air-conditioning (yes...heat, too, in the wintertime). We provide fresh linens and towels, and housekeeping services can be arranged for all of our members and guests.

Your Windrifter stay entitles you full access to all property amenities which include our indoor pool, Fitness Center, saunas, games, tennis court and picnic areas. Oh, we can't forget to mention the sun dock and boating facilities at the lakefront.

Main Inn

Our original building, the Inn, is a classic 18th century farmhouse. Re-fashioned with many modern updates, it's basic structure is still intact. True to its antique heritage, no two rooms in the Inn are alike.

The Inn's first floor hosts 2 common areas adjacent to the front desk. There is a small sitting area for quiet interaction and a larger room for family gathering. The small sitting area offers a complimentary coffee station, two wing back chairs and a hand-hewn cribbage table. Help yourself to a cup of tea or coffee while you enjoy a book or a game of cribbage. There are books about the Wolfeboro or a selection of menus to peruse. The larger sitting room hosts a computer area open to all guests (with printer capabilities), a large flat screen TV to enjoy a movie or play a video game. There is a table to work a puzzle, play board game or maybe even a checkers tournament. Whatever your preference, it's a room that can offer many hours of enjoyment.
Connected to the Inn are our function rooms; the Mountain View or the Barn. Each space is perfect for business meetings, social groups, and family celebrations. Our Mountain View room can accommodate up to 45 people and the Barn will accommodate up to 125.

Should you prefer to be outdoors, a number of the rooms have a balcony or there is a large deck on the back side of the Inn where you can enjoy the night sounds of the lake. The Inn deck overlooks our pool patio and the tennis court with a view of the golf course and mountain in the distance. The steps off the deck puts you steps from our indoor pool, grill areas and Fitness Center.

The Inn guestrooms, located on the 2nd & 3rd floors, include 8 one-bedroom suites, 1 studio guestroom and 1 two-bedroom suite. The studio and 1 bedroom units will accommodate up to four persons. The 2 Bedroom suite will accommodate up to 6.
Each room has a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning for those warm summer nights. We offer DirectTV for your viewing pleasure or there are DVD and movie rentals available for use from the front desk. If you prefer the outdoors, can sit on the deck and enjoy the night sounds of the lake.

Big Villa

The Big Villa is the cornerstone of the Windrifter's main campus. Each and every one of its twenty guest rooms has a private balcony overlooking the fairways of the Kingswood Golf Course. On many Summer nights, you can relax on your porch and watch nature's laser show as lighting storms dance across the lake and the open landscape.

"Every guest room in the Big Villa has a private balcony overlooking the fairways of the Kingswood Golf Course."

The Big Villa guest rooms are studio rooms designed for a relaxing family vacation. With a fully-equipped kitchen, full bath, and dining area, it is the perfect place to start your day's activities or simply relax. At night, unfold the Murphy bed and sleep-sofa to accommodate 4 people.

The Big Villa is also home to the Windrifter's Fitness Center, Game Room, and indoor pool. You don't have to brave the cold New England Winter to go for a swim or a sauna, simply walk down the stairs and you are there.

Small Villa

The Small Villa is a modern version of the Summer cabin. It is an integral part of our main campus, yet, stand alone from the other buildings. The Small Villa consists of four units, each with a private back porch (overlooking the Kingswood Golf Course) and a shared front porch.

"Separate enough to offer some privacy from the main campus, yet close enough to be a two-minute walk from our indoor pool, patio, tennis court, and Fitness Center."

Like the Big Villa, the Small Villa guest rooms are studios, each with a fully-equipped kitchen, full bath, and dining area. Sleeping arrangements for these units include a comfortable full-size Murphy bed along with a pullout sleep sofa - equaling convenient accommodations for up to four guests.

Yacht Club

For aquatic enthusiasts, The Windrifter Yacht Club is a haven of delight.

Our two buildings house eight guest units. Each floor plan is unique and each with a magnificent view of New Hampshire's Big Lake. Just about any way you turn, the azure wonderment is there for the eyes to behold.

Whether in a one-bedroom or a studio guest room, you have a fully-equipped kitchen, bath and air conditioning. When you step out from your guest room, you have immediate access to our private sunning area which is adjacent to our lakeside patio which is next to our private boat slips....all for the enjoyment of our Windrifter members and guests.

"Staff was extremely helpful and polite. Our stay at the Yacht Club was very pleasant and relaxing. We had Loons calling in front of the unit every evening."

During the daylight, the bustle of the lakefront and downtown area (a five minute stroll from the Yacht Club) provide a myriad of activities. Sightseeing, shopping, hiking, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, waterskiing, swimming, picnicking....oh-too much? Okay...well, then you can sun, nap, go to the theatre, eat, snack or read. Did I mention you can nap?

As the sun sets, in the small of the evening, you can leave the sliding door to your deck open and allow the sounds of Wolfeboro Bay permeate your senses. As you prepare to retire for the night, listen to the lake lapping against the docks, hear the gentle ring of sailboats' halyards slapping against the masts and let it lull you into restful slumber.

In the morning, step out from your Yacht Club guest room and have yourself another wonderful day of adventure......
