Purchase a Windrifter vacation and you can be secure in the knowledge that your vacation “home” will be there for you each year. Any headaches and worries of continual maintenance and repairs are handled by the staff of the resort. Experience the perks of ownership in a second residence without the expense and hassle of year-round care.
Purchase a Windrifter vacation and discover the flexible advantages our members enjoy. A majority of our members choose to vacation here year after year during their “purchased” week. They renew long standing friendships and make new friends, too. Others, by enrolling with RCI, exchange their Windrifter vacation days and travel to one of over 4,500 RCI timeshare resorts worldwide*. Others, still, vacation with us each year, but choose to split their vacation days into a series of shorter stays*. Don’t have time to travel one year? Let the resort know, your time can be put into our generous rental program*. It is your vacation–you decide how, when, and where you wish to enjoy it. (*restrictions apply)
The Windrifter Resort Association is a not-for-profit organization that is member owned and member governed. The governing Board of Directors is a group of Windrifter members elected by Windrifter members. The Board is tasked with overseeing finances, formulating policies and procedures for the resort and its members. Most importantly, the Board of Directors and resort manager work closely to ensure our founders’ original promise of an affordable vacation remains intact.
As a not- for-profit, every penny brought in by annual maintenance and reserve fees goes back into the upkeep of the properties. These funds provide staff wages, property maintenance, services and amenities that are unique and relevant to our members.
The biggest factor helping our members have an affordable vacation is each of our units is designed to be beneficial for a longer term stay. Not only is there the living areas in each unit to accommodate up to a minimum of 4 guests per unit, but there is a full kitchen in every unit, as well. The cost of eating out on vacation can be prohibitive. By choosing to eat in, you have the opportunity to save some of that cost to participate in other activities that may not have been affordable by eating out all the time.
Without the people that come here year after year, The Windrifter Resort is just a collection of buildings. It is the people that make it a community. Many of our members boast of long friendships forged over the years of their Windrifter vacations. And they are excited to make new friendships when new members join the family.
Your Windrifter vacation is an investment that pays dividends each year in the form of lasting memories, friendships, and traditions. Whether it is second generation members returning with their children or seniors that didn’t discover the Windrifter until after retirement, the friendships and bonds are strong and lasting.
Being a member of the Windrifter is not simply a legacy of fond memories; it is a legacy of financial value, as well. We also understand, however, that over time, our members’ lives change and sometimes those changes may not be able to include the Windrifter. Should that happen, you have the option to pass on the tradition of membership by selling it or signing it over to a family member or friend.
What Our Residents Experience
This is a great time share in a small town. Rooms are simple but clean. Love the pool!! Walking distance to down town summer or winter. The barn would make a great place for a party. I’m thinking of asking my family up for a anniversary party.
Excellent place to stay, the view cannot be beat
My wife and I stayed in their newly renovated unit right on the lakes and the had the greatest time, there was so much to do in walking distance and the view of the lake (right outside of our room) could not be beat!

We love the Windrifter. We enjoy smaller resorts with charm and comfort and the Windrifter fits that bill. Aside from the comfort and location of the units (we enjoy the golf course location and the water front location), Wolfeboro is a great location for exploring the lake region, the White Mountains, or the coast.

The Windrifter is an old historical property in a great location near Wolfeboro. The place was clean, but dated, bathroom small, with individual window air conditioners. Definitely a good value for the area it is located in.

We enjoyed our room and stay. It is not high end but perfect for us. We had everything we needed in our room overlooking the golf course. Bed firm but cozy, and we could cook what we needed. We’ll come again.

We could not control the weather but we did control our mood! We had such a lovely view from our studio. Not only are you at the golf course, but you have beautiful sunsets, trees and geese to gaze upon. The unit is small but adequate. We had meals in and watched free movies provided by the resort. The location is excellent–only minutes from Lake Winnipesaukee and downtown Wolfeboro.

The rooms are great. Lots of cool designs on the doors. Seems like it was an older building that was converted into a hotel, which is awesome
Good location, decent amenities, friendly people.
